Four Season :you Pay Attention To Common Disease

PDF | Print | E-mail

In case warm spring water is not available, medicinal bathing can be performed by boiling some medicines in water. The

solution prepared is called Manna Solution with Five Ingredients, containing Folium Sabina (1 part), Foliurn Rhododendron (1

part), Flos Myricaria (2 parts), Herba Ephedra (2 parts) and Herba Artemisia annua (3 parts), each part weighing 500 grams at

least. Put all the herbs in a large cauldron and then add water to fill the container. Boil to evaporate half the water

amount. Collect the solution and then add water to the residue again. Boil it again to 40 per cent of the original volume.

Collect the solution. Add water to the residue again and boil to obtain 30 per cent of the original volume. Collect the

solution. Add the three solutions together for bathing.

Medicinal bathing should be administered daily for a consecutive course of 1-3 weeks. It should be adjusted by the patient’s

own feelings and the condition of the disease. The temperature of the bathing water should be appropriate, neither too high

nor too low. When the temperature drops, it should be heated up again; a new solution should be added every few days.

In addition to the above five medicines, others can be added according to the condition: for dizziness due to exuberant

blood, Lignum Santali, Lignum Pterocarpi and sulfur, each 3 qian, ground as powder and added into the solution; for

indigestion due to cold-wind evils, Calcitum, Fructus Piper longi and Rhizoma Zingiberis, also ground into powder and added

to the bathing solution.

The steaming method is also appropriate for medicinal bathing. Put the medicinal solution in a large cauldron in the center

of which a small stool is placed for the patient to sit on.

For binding bathing, put the above medicines in a cloth pocket. After it has been well sealed, put the pocket on the affected

area. This method yields similar effect as medicinal water bathing. However, binding bathing is limited to localized diseases

and is not suitable for general diseases.

Binding bathing is divided into clearing heat and eliminating cold methods. For clearing heat, powder from grains is mixed

with sesame oil or old vegetable oil and wrapped in a cloth; boiled fresh flowers can also be used. However, toxic flowers

are prohibited. For eliminating cold, animal dung, including that of rats and pigeons, can be used, or smashed animal bones

decocted in liquor can also be used.

Ten Reasons to Choose Dental Implants Over Removable Dentures

PDF | Print | E-mail

Full dentures are the most common restoration used for patients missing all of their natural teeth. The only other

alternatives to complete removable dentures are dental implants. Although removable dentures are usually the most inexpensive

option for tooth replacement, they can be uncomfortable and inconvenient. Dental implants are an alternative to consider (see

comparison chart).

A dental implant is a small man-made titanium fixture that serves as a replacement for the root portion of a missing natural

tooth. Titanium is used because it is most compatible with our human body. The dental implant is placed in the bone of the

upper or lower jaw and functions as an anchor for the replacement tooth.

1) Improved Appearance: Dental implant supported prostheses are more natural than removable dentures in appearance and more

attractive. They look and feel like natural teeth. Since implants fuse to bone, the prosthesis is permanent and non-

removable.

2) Improved Confidence: Removable dentures become loose and can rock and cause embarrassment for the wearer. With the dental

implant prosthesis, a person can feel confident that teeth will not move. All regular activities can be performed without

fear of embarrassment.

3) Comfort and Convenience: Removable dentures can cause sore spots in the mouth under the denture. With a dental implant

supported prostheses there are no sore spots. Removable dentures can be inconvenient because they require removal at night

and for cleaning. They require messy adhesives. Patients with dental implants do not experience these embarrassing

situations.

4) Durability: Implants have a high rate of success and durability. They last many years. With good care, implants can last a

lifetime

5) Improved Eating: Removable dentures can slide during eating and make eating a complicated and unhappy activity. The

ability to chew foods improves dramatically with dental implants. While removable dentures are only 20% to 25% as efficient

as a person’s natural teeth, implant supported prostheses are 80% as efficient. A prosthesis supported by dental implants

functions like natural teeth making eating an enjoyable and easy experience.

6) Improved Taste: A full upper removable denture covers the roof of the mouth. Food is more difficult to taste and enjoy.

With an implant-supported prosthesis, the roof of the mouth is not covered and food can be tasted fully.

7) Improved Nutrition and Health: Many foods cannot be eaten with removable dentures. With an implant-supported prosthesis,

people are able to eat a varied, healthful diet that includes all necessary food groups for improved nutrition. Chewy and

crunchy foods such as carrots, lettuce and apples can be added to the diet.

8) Improved Speech: Removable dentures can make speaking sound garbled. The teeth can slip within the mouth causing mumbling

or slurring of words. With dental implants normal speech is usually not a problem and patients can feel confident that the

teeth will not slip during conversation.

9) Reduced Chance of Loss: Removable dentures can be easily lost. Dental implant supported prostheses cannot be removed and

misplaced.

10) Bone Growth: One of most devastating problems for patients wearing removable dentures is the loss of bone that occurs

over time. Gradually removable dentures become more difficult to wear because of this bone loss. The ridge gradually wears

away providing less and less ridge to support the denture. Dental implants act like natural teeth and aid in bone stimulation

and growth. (see Bone Comparison Chart)

Way to cope with Dentures

A denture is removable replacement for missing teeth and tissue. There are two types of denture, complete and partial.

Complete Dentures

It is conventional or immediate. a conventional denture is ready for placement in month about 8 to 12 weeks after teeth

removal. As per the result the wearer does not have to be without teeth during the healing period so both dentures are made

in advance and fixed it quickly after teeth removed. Immediate denture require more adjustment to fit properly during healing

period. It is temporary solution.

Partial Denture

A removable partial denture usually consists of replacement teeth. It is of metal frame work. Mostly it is used when one or

more natural teeth are remained in upper or lower jaw. A permanent bridge replaces one or more teeth by placing crown on the

teeth. This bridge is then cemented into place. Partial denture prevents other teeth from changing position. It is removable

and has internal attachment which attach to adjacent crown. It has more natural look.

When you are seeking information about denture there are some important fact you should know.

Fact

Denture does not last forever.

Though your denture fit perfectly, you should check it regularly from your dentist.

Take care that no one will know that you have worn denture.

You can eat more normally and speak more clearly.

Don’t think regular dental care is too much costly.

Never try to make your own denture repairs.

Denture material is hard and durable but no permanent. you have to replace it after certain time of period. It may break

after dropped. Because of metaculous care a natural appearance of denture teeth may change with diet, chewing and age. There

are many factors which make your denture fit.

A regular visit to a Dentist

It doesn’t mean you have no longer problem of teeth so you need not check your teeth. your dentist should assess your oral

condition and this should be done twice in year. Dentist can check for oral cancer screening, other systematic diseases such

as diabetes that show up in the mouth. Changes in your jaw or face affect the fit of your denture, it causes irritation and

infection.

Denture gives natural look

Some people embarrassed by “tell-tale” sign of wearing denture. Denture wearer should speak normally and eat normally.

Denture is not constructed for giving cosmetically pleasing and natural look but it actually make a person look younger. The

red plastic gum increases fullness of your face and support your facial muscle. Because of this aging line and wrinkles are

minimized.
